blurred photos of my powerbook

The semester break can be a strange time. Or adjusting to it, this is. Of course I’m happy that now I can spend more time with my family and that I can also earn some money again. However I’m still trying to get into a daily routine that feels satisfying. Satisfying in such a way that at the end of the day I feel like I’ve achieved and learned something new.

Currently there are so many thoughts and ideas floating ’round my head that I don’t know where to start. I’m eager to make something “arty”, to be creative, to learn new things. Maybe the solution will come to my head while my powerbook gets an overhaul which will leave me with a dusty PC and a pencil and paper. Could be worse.

I’ve come more and more to think that the working world is not really the place to achieve anything or learn anything new. Although this is probably just a sad reflection of my current situation.

Start a project. I’ve been thinking about your SpamPaint thing. Don’t you think it’s time you developed something that turned Paint into Spam? Now there’s something that could reall blow people away.

Pierce, this might be a reflection of your current situation but I’m sure many will agree. That’s why I enjoy studying so much. You’re always pushed to think about new things and develop new skills. And you’re given the freedom to do so.

As for SpamPaint, that’s a really sad thing that I currently don’t want to think about at all. I’m still disappointed that I never got the support from my university to make this run on their server.
